United Nations International Law Fellowship Programme

The Programme, which aims to familiarize participants with current issues of international law and intends to update and deepen their knowledge in this field, is scheduled to take place in The Hague, The Netherlands, from 7 July to 15 August 2008.
The fellowships are primarily intended for participants from law faculties or various ministries and government agencies dealing with the activities of the UN system in their day-to-day work.
The applicants should come from least developed and developing countries or from countries with economies in transition. Additional places will also be made available on a self-financed basis for candidates from other countries.
Subjects to be covered will include, for example, refugee law, humanitarian law, criminal law, human rights, environmental law, trade law, law of the sea, law of treaties and others.
